Executive Board in Torino, 3rd September 2009
The 3rd of September 2009, an Executive Board was
held in Torino, under the generous invitation of the
INARCH and the Ordine di Architetti di Torino. The
Board knew about the European project that is being
prepared by our Italian colleagues with
participation of the UMAR.

UIA-UMAR - Beirut, 26-27th June 2009
UIA and UMAR met in Beirut on the invitation of the
Order of Engineers and Architects of Lebanon on 26
and 27 June 2009 with the task of putting in to
application the protocol between the two
organizations signed on 1st July 2008.

15th Anniversary of the UMAR - Pescara, 12th June
2009
An Extraordinary General Assembly to celebrate the
15th anniversary of the UMAR took place in Pescara
(Italy) hosted by the Italian Council (CNAPPC). The
main objective of this EGA was the celebration of
the 15th anniversary of the UMAR. Our Italian
colleagues gave us the opportunity to visit l’Aquila
and to experience the consequences of the earthquake
in this town.

UMAR 15th General Assembly in Fez, Morroco
Following the kind invitation of the Conseil
national de l’Ordre des architectes du Maroc, the
15th General Assembly of UMAR has been held in Fez
on January 12 and 13 2009. This General Assembly has
elected the executive bureau of the union for the
period 2009/2012. On January 14 as a yearly
tradition in Morocco, the Day of the Architect has
been celebrated.

Qantara. A Euromed project
The European Union and the Euromed Heritage
programme The Qantara project is part of the Euromed
Heritage programme, which hopes to contribute to
mutual understanding and dialogue between
Mediterranean cultures by highlighting their
cultural heritage.
